Day 1 – Discover Rome City centre

Day 2 – The Oldest Benedectine Monasteries in Europe
Subiaco is home to the oldest functioning printing press in Italy. Established in 1465 in the Monastery of St. Scholastica. We suggest to visit : Monastery of Santa Scolastica, one of the oldest Benedictine monasteries in the world, built around 520 A.D. The serene surroundings and the historical significance of the site make it a profound experience. You can explore its beautiful cloisters, ancient library, and historic church. Discover the life of Saint Scholastica, the twin sister of Saint Benedict, and the monastery’s role in preserving and spreading Benedictine spirituality. Monastery of San Benedetto, also known as the Sacro Speco (Holy Cave). This monastery is built into the side of a mountain and offers stunning views of the Aniene Valley. As you walk through this sacred threshold, you’ll feel a deep sense of connection to centuries of pilgrimage and devotion. Inside, you can explore the richly decorated chapels and frescoes that depict scenes from the life of Saint Benedict.

Day 3 – Tivoli’s Villas

Villa d’Este This UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its stunning Renaissance architecture and its elaborate terraced gardens. The villa’s gardens feature a series of beautiful fountains, water features, and grottoes that create a magical atmosphere. A guided tour will take you through the villa and its gardens, highlighting the historical and artistic significance of this masterpiece of Italian garden design. You’ll learn about Cardinal Ippolito II d’Este, who commissioned the villa, and the intricate engineering behind the water features. Villa Adriana another UNESCO World Heritage site. This vast Roman archaeological complex was the retreat of Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD. A guided tour will lead you through the extensive ruins, including the Maritime Theater, Canopus, and the grand Imperial Palace.
